A featured article or FA is an article which is highlighted on the Main Page as an example of the type of content that we want to promote on WikiJET. The introductory paragraph of the featured article and a relevant picture are included, along with links inviting visitors to read more.
Since WikiJET was founded in November 2006, Featured Articles have simply been chosen by me (Bobo12345) according to what I felt was good content to promote on the site. So far the following articles have been featured:
But since wikis are meant to be about cooperation and joint decision making, I'd like to start some kind of voting process to select future FAs. I hope that this will help other users feel more involved in the development of the website, and also encourage people to improve already existing articles or to write really good ones from scratch.

To get things off the ground and to give people ample time to vote, I suggest that the current featured article, Global Inequality exercise, remain on the Main Page until the end of June 2007. Any articles suggested and voted on below will be featured on the Main Page from July 1st onward.
To vote or make a comment just edit the relevant section and type away! Please use the terms Support and Oppose for clarity.
Suggestion 1: Treasure Hunt game[]
- Support - Apart from being a great game in itself, I think the article is also pretty good because it has all materials provided (people just have to print out) and the explanation is clear. Bobo12345 03:22, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Suggestion 2: ETC toll system[]
- Support - I think it would be good idea to feature an article from the Information section of the website because we don't have many yet, and featuring one might encourage the creation of more... Bobo12345 03:22, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Suggestion 3: Kyushu Charity Hitchhike[]
- Support - Again, the Events section of WikiJET hasn't really taken off yet, but I see great potential for it. There are thousands of events organised by JETs every year and some are certainly big enough to merit their own website. This hitchhike website is what I imagine these type of events could do on WikiJET, so I think it would be great to feature it on the Main Page. - Please feel free to search the website for other articles you think are worth promoting and suggest them here. Or even better write your own article from scratch and then suggest it!
