Materials Needed

  • List of students names
  • Greetings Flashcards
  • Body Part Flash Cards
  • Smaller Body parts flash cards for Fruit basket game.
  • Action Flash Cards

  • Greeting : Hello, How are you? - SHOUT good morning.
  • Roll Call : This did not work well last time. Give it another go, but try doing it faster. Call out each persons name and they respond with yes. If someone is not here, everyone should say absent. If they don't call out yes loud enough, then pretend that you did not hear them.
  • Greeting flash card - Vocabulary Introduction - "Good Morning", "Good Afternoon", "Good evening", "Good Night". Add gestures for each.
  • JUMP! - Body Parts and Action review (make them jump around)
  • Greetings throughout the day - Repeat vocab once more then get the kids to lay down and pretend they are asleep. Wake them up with "Good Morning". They repeat good morning and stretch. They stand up when you say "Good Afternoon" and give you a nod and repeat. They wave both hand when you say "Good Evening" and repeat. Send them to sleep by saying "Good Night".
  • Heads and Shoulders Song - ("Heads, Shoulder, Knees and Toes. Eyes and Ears and Mouth and Nose.")
  • Fruit Basket Game Review Body Parts Vocabulary. The first four items should be given to 3 y/o and the other items should be given to the 4y/o. This is for two reasons:
    1. The first four are easier
    2. The two age groups are physically different, so keeping them separate will avoid problems when running around.

  • Duck Duck Goose Game - Red, Red, BLUE Game
